No. 1 Minnesota hockey rallied from a 3-2 deficit in the second period to win 6-4 over Arizona State on Monday.
ASU (4-8-2) scored three consecutive goals in the first 11 minutes of the second period to erase a 2-0 deficit in Minneapolis.
Sampo Ranta scored his third goal of the series at 12:38 of the second to even the game. ASU changed goalies with Evan DeBrouwer replacing Cole Brady.
Blake McLaughlin tipped a shot past DeBrouwer at 16:29 of the second. Brannon McManus and McLaughlin added insurance goals for Minnesota in the third period before ASU’s Jarrod Gourley trimmed the final deficit to two goals.
