Nicole Douglas picked up where she left off after her first two seasons, scoring two goals Thursday as Arizona State soccer opened its delayed season with a 3-1 win over UTEP at Sun Devil Stadium.
Douglas, a junior forward from England, scored a combined 17 goals in 2018 and 2019, leading the Sun Devils both years. She lofted her first goal from just outside the box over goalie Emily Parrott at 35:30, giving ASU a 1-0 lead at halftime that could have been larger given the Sun Devils' possession dominance.
Douglas scored again from inside the box at 86:54 on a feed from transfer Vildan Kardesler off her steal for 3-0.
