TEMPE, Ariz. – Senior Olivia Nguyen scored two goals in just under 11 minutes, including the game-winning goal in the 90th minute of Sun Devil Soccer's 2-1 win over 2021 NCAA Tournament participant Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday.
The Sun Devils (2-0) dominated the game statistically, posting overwhelming advantages in shots (33-4), shots on goal (17-3) and corner kicks (8-0). Yet for all it had done right in the game, ASU found itself on the wrong end of a 1-0 score for much of the second half, a deficit that was the product of a goal by Southeastern Louisiana's Ellie Williams in the 47thminute.
