Arizona State will have its fourth offensive coordinator in four seasons, but this latest hire is different in one important area: Rob Likens has been on staff.
“(Continuity) is everything,” said Likens, promoted from receivers coach to offensive coordinator this week after Billy Napier accepted the head-coaching position at Louisiana-Lafayette.
“I think that’s one of the reasons I’m talking to you right now, to try and be an agent of stability. Keep these kids from just kind of going awry. It was a tough morning for them (Friday). I think it was great news – I hope it was – that I was staying because it’s been tough on them.
