Heavyweight Cohlton Schultz, ranked as the nation’s No. 1 wrestling in some class of 2019 rankings, has committed to sign with Arizona State.
Schultz is a three-time Colorado state champion for Ponderosa High School. He was 2017 Cadet Greco-Roman World champion at 220 pounds, the first American to win a title at that event since 1997.
ASU heavyweight Tanner Hall is going into his senior season so Schultz could compete as a true freshman in 2019-20 as Hall’s replacement.
FloWrestling ranks Schultz No. 1 at 285 pounds and pound-for-pound over all weight classes in its latest 2018-19 high school rankings.
