Mourners gather to say goodbye to ASU football legend Frank Kush

Hundreds paid their respects to former Arizona State University football coach Frank Kush at a viewing on Wednesday in Tempe, mingling with one another and telling stories of the coach turned ASU icon.

The viewing was held at the All Saints Catholic Newman Center right across from ASU's main campus Wednesday evening.

While some wore the traditional all-black funeral attire, others opted to spread ASU pride by wearing university attire as they said their final goodbyes. Some in the crowd were Kush's former players, while others were current or former ASU staff, and others hadn't known Kush at all but said they wanted to pay their respects to the man they credit with putting ASU on the map.
