After firing Todd Graham, the pressure and scrutiny is now clearly on Arizona State’s Vice President for University Athletics Ray Anderson.
He should remember that “you play to win the game,” because the man who said it could be the ideal candidate to lead his program going forward.
Anderson dismissed a winning coach who had been good for the program and, apparently, popular with a vocal segment of ASU’s fan base, saying Sun Devil football should compete for Pac-12 championships and major bowl bids every year and that better leadership could make the vision a reality.
