Former Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici is joining the ASU staff as an offensive graduate assistant.
Bercovici, 26, played at ASU from 2012-15, starting in 2015 and threw the famous "Jael Mary" touchdown pass to wide receiver Jaelen Strong to complete an upset win at USC.
Since college, Bercovici has played for the Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals and San Diego Fleet of the short-lived Alliance of American Football.
"Mike epitomized what being a Sun Devil is about," second-year ASU coach Herm Edwards said. "In addition to being an outstanding player, he was a tremendous leader and competitor who poured everything he had into being successful both on and off the field.
