The No. 1 seeded Sun Devil men's golf team did what it needed to do on Tuesday to put itself on the good side of the five-team cut line at the NCAA Stanford Regional held at the Stanford Golf Course (par-70/6,727 yards).
ASU shot an 8-under 272 -- 11 shots better than Monday, the second-best round of the day and the third-best round through the first two rounds -- and is tied for second in 75-player field with North Carolina at 5-under 555.
The 13 teams will play 18 holes Wednesday to finish as five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional advances to the finals May 24-29 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville.
