Masters' Goal Helps Sun Devil Hockey Complete Sweep Of Lake Superior State

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.– When Lake Superior State scored to tie the game with 52 seconds left, it would be easy for the Sun Devils to let it get to them. Especially when they took a penalty 13 seconds into overtime.

Instead, Arizona State killed the penalty and battled until Jordan Masters found a lane and fired the game-winner past the Laker goaltender to give the Sun Devils a 3-2 win and their first sweep as a Division I program.

"We faced a ton of adversity in this second game and our guys really fought their way through it,” head coach Greg Powers said.
