TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil swim teams, including the No. 8-ranked men's team, opened the 2017-18 competition season on Friday in the teams' annual Maroon & Gold Intrasquad and in a closely contested meet, maroon defeated gold, 205-188.
On the women's side, the margin was even closer, with maroon coming out on top, 99-98, while the maroon team's men won, 106-90.
"Across the board, we had very good performances," said head coach Bob Bowman. "I was very pleased on the women's side. We had a lot of great swimming and I'm very pleased with how the women stepped up.
