INDIANAPOLIS- Léon Marchand shattered his 500 free NCAA record to win the 500 free (4:02.31) at the NCAA Championships on Thursday evening at the IU Natatorium, as the Sun Devils currently sit in first place in the team standings.

Marchand cleared his previous record of 4:06.14, which he set exactly three weeks ago at the Pac-12 Championships, to pick up the sixth title of his career. He's now captured the 500 free, the 400 IM along with two titles each in the 200 breast and 200 IM.
