BETHLEHEM, Penn. – In the return to his home state, true freshman Pierson Manville notched the first win of his Sun Devil career, beating four-time NCAA Championship qualifier Malyke Hines, 5-3, in the Sun Devils' 25-11 loss to No. 21 Cornell on Friday at the Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall.
Making just his third career start, Manville was propelled by an early takedown and outlasted the high-powered Hines, who entered tonight 14-5 and a winner of six of his past seven matches.
Manville capped a late Sun Devil push to close out the dual against the Mountain Hawks, as they took the final four bouts of the evening.
