OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fifth year Maddi Hackbarth added yet another award to her already illustrious trophy case for the 2021 season, earning a place on the NFCA All-America team announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon. Hackbarth joined the Second Team as an At-Large Catcher.
The NFCA Division I All-America softball teams are selected from the pool of players who earned All-Region recognition by Division I head coaches representing the NCAA regions. Hackbarth was tabbed as a first-team honoree in the announcement made two weeks ago.
Hackbarth started all but one of ASU's 49 games in 2021 and led the Pac-12 Conference through the regular season in home runs (20) and RBI (58), marks that rank in the top-10 nationally.
