For Greg Stringfellow, three weeks isn't a long time to pack all that's required for LSU football to spend a week in Arizona for the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
But that's a lifetime compared to 2005 when Stringfellow, LSU's equipment director, had essentially one day to get a semi-truck loaded and on the road for the Tigers' unexpected road game against Arizona State.
A decision to shift the 2005 game from Baton Rouge to Tempe in the wake of Hurricane Katrina was made on a Monday. That left Stringfellow with Tuesday to do everything from reconditioning helmets, normally a three-day job, to securing truck drivers and making sure the truck was properly serviced for the 1,400-mile journey.
