Long, Meyer Pace Baseball in Series-Clinching 5-3 Victory Over UW

PHOENIX – Sun Devil Baseball looked to right-hander Tyler Meyer and kept consistent offensive pressure to secure the series win against Washington with a 5-3 victory on Saturday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

For the second straight weekend, Meyer was exceptional on the bump with another 7.0-inning effort as he allowed just two runs while striking out four with no walks. The sophomore simply pitched to contact, needing just 76 total pitches to get through the winning effort and third quality start of his season.

Brock Peery earned his fourth save of the year as he and Will Levine closed things out in the 8th and 9th innings.
