TEMPE – Sun Devil Softball battled the rain and clutch hitting from Oregon State in a 5-3 loss on Friday night. Farrington Stadium was sold out, with 1,728 in attendance for the final Pac-12 home opener in program history.
Audrey LeClair and Tanya Windle stayed hot as each posted a double and two hits overall. The double from WIndle was her third straight game with a two-bagger. ASU finished with eight hits overall.
Arizona State (16-10, 1-3 Pac-12) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Windle drove home Kayla Lissy with that double.
