TEMPE – Freshman Lily Taylor has been named Women's Tennis Big 12 Player of the Week as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon after helping the Sun Devils remain unbeaten at home and move to 5-1 in Big 12 play.
It marks the first career honor for Taylor and the second weekly honor by the team this season. On Feb. 4 Sara Svetac was named player of the week after clinching two points in the win over then-No. 15 Pepperdine.
The Australian continued her success in conference play going 2-0 in singles matches and 2-0 in doubles matches helping the Sun Devils garner wins over West Virginia and Cincinnati.
