Lawrence, KS. – No. 29 Sun Devil Women's Tennis (7-4, 2-1 Big 12) was unable to relish a comeback against the Kansas Jayhawks (8-5, 2-1 Big 12) in a 4-2 defeat at Jayhawk Tennis Center Friday evening in Lawrence.
Freshman Aiya Nupbay and Lily Taylor accumulated wins in singles play to win points for the Sun Devils on courts four and six. Both freshmen have won two straight matches in singles play. The team will look to rebound Sunday against No. 59 Iowa State at 9 a.m. MST.
In doubles Emilija Tverijonaite and Aiya Nupbay made quick work of their doubles match by winning 6-1.
