Lightning Suspends Play at NCAA Women's Golf Finals

Bradenton, Fla.--Arizona State's Monica Vaughn wrapped up her first round of the 2015 NCAA Championships at 3-over 75 before the weather turned on the afternoon wave of golfers.  After two delays late Friday afternoon at the par-72, 6,428-yard The Concession Golf Club, play was suspended due to lightning.

Vaughn, the No. 16 golfer in the nation according to Golfstat, carded three birdies on the day.  After heading into the turn at 2-over, the sophomore carded three straight bogeys on holes 10 through 13. Vaughn, cool and composed, rallied to finish the round with birdies on 15 and 17.
