TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil Softball brought the heat to college softball in 2020 and looks to do more of the same in 2021 with a "mega-team" lead by fifth-years, powered by up-and-coming players, and topped off with an elite freshmen class.
Last season, the Sun Devils came out swinging - swinging over the fences. Thirteen student-athletes contributed to the team's nation-leading 50 home runs in 29 games. Through non-conference, ASU set the pace for the nation's slugging percentage with a team average of .648.
The team also led all other Division I teams with 13 shutouts and 133 walks.
