When Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley realized he was going to be without sophomore forward Jalen Graham for the Sun Devils' game against Washington Tuesday night, he told senior forward Kimani Lawrence to go out and get 20 rebounds.
Lawrence didn't get 20, he only managed 12 which was still a career-high. Well Lawrence saved the bigger performance for Thursday night when the teams squared off for a second time at Desert Financial Arena.
This time Lawrence tallied 21 points and 20 rebounds to propel the Sun Devils past Washington 80-72 in Pac-12 play. It marked the first 20-20 game for an ASU player since Michael Batiste accomplished the feat in 1997.
