TEMPE – A long day of action at the 20th Kajikawa Classic on Saturday forced Sun Devil Softball to sit around until 9:15 before facing Miami (OH) for a second consecutive day. ASU starters fast before Miami stormed back for a 12-4 win to give the Sun Devils their first defeat of the season.
gave the Sun Devils an early lead with an RBI double in the first inning. They had a chance to tack on more runs with the bases loaded in the second, but ASU couldn't capitalize. The top of the third inning saw the RedHawks vault in front 4-1, but responded in the bottom half with a two-run blast.
