NASHVILLE– Arizona State lacrosse (3-4) could not hang on in the 13-11 loss to Vanderbilt (4-2) after the Commodores showed a late surge with a five-goal fourth quarter. Freshman Anna Viglione netted the first goal of her career in the loss.
As one of the best teams in the NCAA in clears, the Sun Devils were a perfect 12-for-12 in clears today and improved their third-best NCAA mark to 96.8% on the year (90/93).
How it Happened:
The Sun Devils had a strong defensive stand in the first quarter, allowing just one Vanderbilt goal, which came in the first five minutes of the game.
