TEMPE, Ariz. (Day 3) - Senior Desirae Krawczyk became the first Sun Devil to win the ASU Thunderbird Invitational since Kelcy McKenna in 2010, as she defeated Michigan's Kate Fahey 6-2, 6-4.
The victory gave Krawczyk victories in straight sets throughout her five matches of the tournament.
"Overall I feel I played really well in the tournament," Krawczyk said. "There were times where I didn't feel as great but I'm just happy to finish the senior fall season with a bang. Sheila had been working with me more as the tournament was coming and so I put more work into it and it payed off.
