IRVING, Texas - Sun Devil Men's Basketball's Joson Sanon was named Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week, the conference announced as part of their weekly awards.
The freshman guard showed why he was a coveted five-star prospect in the 2024 class. He was spectacular this week in helping Arizona State go 2-0 and is a big reason why they are off to a 4-1 start (only third time in Hurley era). In two games, Sanon averaged 19.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in 30.5 minutes, providing a critical spark off the bench. He shot an extremely efficient 14-for-23 (61%) from the field including an incredible 8-of-12 (67%) from three point range over the two-game span.
