Forward Josh Doan, son of former Arizona Coyotes star Shane Doan, committed to Arizona State hockey on Friday.
Doan, 17, of Scottsdale plays for the Junior Coyotes, scoring 17 goals (31 points) in 2017-18 for the U15 team and 17 again (36 points) in 2018-19 for the U16 team.
Doan likely will start at ASU in the 2021-22 season, depending on his junior development.
Shane Doan played his entire 21-year NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets/Coyotes before retiring in 2017. His number 19 recently was retired by the Coyotes.
Josh Doan will join a growing number of sons with NHL father at ASU.
