Jaelen Strong, passed over in Thursday's opening round of the NFL Draft, had to wait longer than expected Friday as well.
The Arizona State receiver - considered by many experts as a first-round selection - went to the Houston Texans in the third round, the 70th overall pick of the draft.
It was a sharp drop for Strong, one of 28 players invited to attend the draft in Chicago. ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper, Jr., had Strong listed as his top available player as soon as Thursday's first round ended.
That said, Strong still has something in which to be proud: This is the highest an ASU receiver has been drafted since Aaron Cox went 20th in 1988.
