De'Chavon "Gump" Hayes could be switching to defense after poor play this season.
ASU's Demario Richard has looked like a serviceable leading back through four games. D.J. Foster and Kalen Ballage are all solid backups earning their playing time, too.
De'Chavon "Gump" Hayes, however, has looked rocky early this season (even apologizing for his performance) oth on offense and on special teams. He is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry on 13 attempts this season, failing to record a touchdown.
Interesting ASU development: RB De'Chavon Hayes worked on defense during initial team period.
