FEDERAL WAY, WASH – Ilya Kharun earned a runner-up finish in the 100 fly final setting a Big 12 record and breaking his own school record by touching the wall in a blazing 43.43, featuring his third podium finish of the week highlighting day three at NCAA Championships in Federal Way.
Kharun swam a blazing 43.43 100 fly, a personal best to open the night session of NCAA Championships. In the morning prelims he swam a 43.81, which was then a school record shaving four one-hundredths off his own personal best.
In the 400 medley relay to close out the night, the Sun Devil men finished third, setting a Big 12 record in 2:58.
