EL PASO, Texas -- All gas, no breaks as the No. 10/11 Sun Devil Softball team leaves a lasting impression on its opponents, scoring 31 runs in two run-rule victories on Friday at the Orange and Blue Tournament. The squad hit nine home runs and scored a combined 17 runs in the sixth innings of both games.
Over the last ten years, Arizona State (13-1) has hit nine home runs in a day only twice. First on Feb. 27, 2016, and today against Montana (2-9) and Incarnate Word (0-5). Seven different student-athletes participated in the home run frenzy, including fifth years Alli Tatnall and Maddi Hackbarth, who went yard in each game.
