The Arizona State men's basketball team opened its 2017-18 campaign with a 94-74 victory over the Idaho State Bengals at Wells Fargo Arena, led by some usual faces and a couple of athletic newcomers. Junior De'Quon Lake posted 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting. His presence was felt in the first half, slamming home four dunks while grabbing three boards. Lake concluded the game with eight rebounds and the 24 points was the most in a Sun Devil debut in 14 seasons.
