Tempe, Ariz. – The Arizona State hockey team (15-15-0) opened the four game home and away series with a 3-5 loss against Alaska Fairbanks (7-16-1) on Friday night at Oceanside Ice Arena. It was a back and forth game through the first two periods of play, until the Nanooks were able fuel off momentum in the third and take the win.
"All the credit goes to Alaska. They worked hard tonight and played really well," said head coach Greg Powers. "Their goalie is really good. We knew he was good. He was tremendous tonight and made some big saves.
