Gilbert Highland hybrid tight end/wide receiver Tyler Johnson, who made All-Arizona his junior year, announced on Twitter on Friday that he has committed to Arizona State.
Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 245-pound senior, had both ASU and Arizona among his top 14 choices last summer. He also listed Michigan State, where his father Bill played football.
Johnson's season was limited by injures. He had five catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns in four games. He also played defensive end and had four sacks.
Last year, as as junior, Johnson had 20 catches for 462 yards and five TDs.
