LAS VEGAS – Infielder David Greer tallied two doubles, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored to power Sun Devil Baseball to a 6-4 win against UNLV on Tuesday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas.
Arizona State scored runs in each of the first four innings for a quick 6-1 lead. UNLV used three two-out runs across the fifth and sixth innings to pull within two, but left-hander Eli Lingos and right-hander Eder Erives stranded six runners on base in the final four frames to close out the victory.
Greer accounted for four of the Sun Devils’ (29-16) runs, and his Pac-12 leading 22 doubles are the most by a Sun Devil since Riccio Torrez’s 27 in 2010.
