The Arizona State men's basketball team held Washington State to just .305 (18-of-59) from the field and 10-of-33 (.303) from the three-point stripe and used a 33-14 bench points advantage to top the Cougars 58-55 in Pullman late Saturday night.
But it also got some incredibly efficient offense late when it had to have it.
Washington State (14-9; 7-5) cut the ASU lead to two points at 41-39, 43-41, 45-43, 47-45, 51-49 and also 53-52 but each time the Sun Devils came back with a bucket. In the final 7:37, ASU made eight of its final 11 field goal attempts, with four players getting at least one bucket.
