TEMPE, Ariz.—Arizona State University football legend Gerald Riggs is one of five individuals who will be inducted into the Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.
The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, February 16, at the Emory Conference Center Hotel, located at 1615 Clifton Road in Atlanta. A reception, dinner, art exhibit, silent auction, and raffle will begin at 6:00 p.m., with the induction ceremony slated for 7:45 p.m.
Riggs, an Arizona State University Sports Hall of Fame inductee (2000) that played for the Sun Devils from 1978-81, joins a stellar class that includes 1999 Davey O'Brien Award winner Joe Hamilton, second winningest coach in Georgia Tech basketball history John "Whack" Hyder, Atlanta Braves outfielder (1996-2007) and the 2005 NL Hank Aaron Award winner Andruw Jones, and all-time great Atlanta Braves pitching coach (1990-2005) Leo Mazzone.
