TUCSON, Ariz. – The Sun Devil throwers, led by school record-holder Seri Geisler, highlighted the first day of the 2019 Pac-12 Championships for Arizona State, scoring 14 points across four events for the Devils Saturday in Tucson.
Just after midnight Sunday morning, Geisler scored her first all-conference honor for the Maroon and Gold when she took second in the women's javelin throw. She wasn't alone, though, as Jessica Barreira also opened her conference tab in the jav with an eighth-place finish.
While the all-Pac-12 honor was Geisler's first, for the senior Barreira, the eighth-place finish was her ninth time scoring at a conference meet and her third time scoring in the javelin.
