EUGENE, Oregon - Arizona State track and field has some of the best freshmen in the country! Day three of the NCAA Track and Field Championships saw Dayton Carlson finish sixth in the 800m in a program record 1:46.72, and Ralford Mullings threw 62.46m/204-11 to earn bronze in the discus. Carlson was the fastest freshman at the meet, while Mullings was third best as the top-3 in the discus were all first-year student-athletes. Both of the Sun Devils earned first team All-America honors with their finishes.
