Former Arizona State forward Romello White is indeed headed closer to home but not quite where many had speculated.
White, who declared for the NBA draft and then opted to enter the transfer portal, is transferring to University of Mississippi. He played three years at ASU, starting 92 games in that span, but was at the school for four years so he is immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.
The 6-foot-8 standout averaged a near double-double at 10.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game despite playing in an offense where the guards have been the primary focus offensively.
