Armand Perry has gotten lost amid all the uncertainty. He's OK with that. New quarterback, rebuilt offensive line, it's easy to forget the safety who missed nearly all of last season, a reason Arizona State struggled so mightily on defense.
But the sophomore safety doesn't expect that to last.
"I don't really worry what anybody else thinks,'' Perry said. "... I'm just real excited to get back out there and do what I do best."
In what became one of the worst defensive seasons in school history, Perry's injury was the first sign of trouble. It happened in Week 2 against Cal Poly.
