TEMPE – Five Sun Devil women's tennis players earned academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, including two-time All-Americans Lauryn John-Baptiste and Ilze Hattingh, the organization announced Thursday.
Along with the five individual honors, the program itself was named an All-Academic team for its success as a whole in the classroom.
The scholar-athlete honors for John-Baptiste and Hattingh come two months after the duo picked up their second-straight All-America honors by finishing as the No. 8 doubles tandem in the nation. Joining the doubles All-Americans on the list are Grace Koester, Savannah Slaysman and Sasa Klanecek.
