FORT WORTH, Texas - Arizona State is moving on! The Sun Devils used a huge effort from George Stoupe to top Wichita State 4-3 Saturday afternoon in round one of the NCAA Championships. Stoupe fought back after losing the first set to take the middle frame and win the day on a X-X third-set tiebreak. ASU now advances to the second round for the second time in the Matt Hill era and will play the winner of TCU/Arkansas Sunday at 1 p.m. (11 a.m. MST).
"It was incredibly impressive to see George stay focused after being down 40-love and having four match-points against him," head coach Matt Hill said.
