High-scoring games and big plays have been the rule rather than the exception thus far in college football.
Arizona State co-defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis has taken notice just like everyone else. He's hoping that his team won't be a victim when it opens the seven-game season against South Division favorite USC on Nov 7 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
It was an issue the Sun Devils had last season, particularly against the Trojans, to whom they lost 31-26.
"It's really been a shocking, scary trend," said Lewis, shortly after the team wrapped up its third practice.
