PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Arizona State women's tennis team was on the cusp of making a dramatic rally for the doubles point early against No. 4 Stanford on the Pac-12 Network on Friday afternoon at the Taube Tennis Center.
The No. 45 Devils (7-4, 2-1) battled to the end, but eventually fell at the hands of the Cardinal, 4-0.
"We definitely had a chance to win the doubles point," said head coach Sheila McInerney. "We played with a lot of energy and I was happy with our level overall. I thought we were a bit unlucky not to win the point.
