EUGENE -- The Arizona State women's tennis team pulled off another close Pac-12 match on Sunday afternoon, and this time against the University of Oregon on the road.
The No. 25 Sun Devils (10-4, 4-1) ended the No. 30 Ducks' (11-3, 3-1) nine-game winning streak with a 4-3 victory at the Student Tennis Center.
"I'm really proud of the team today, as we battled hard and played well against a very good Oregon team," said head coach Sheila McInerney. "Once again, our doubles came through and we really had the momentum going into the singles matches. I thought Desirae and Ebony played extremely well and helped us get off to a great 3-0 lead, and Gussie once again was the clincher.
