Devils Fall In Weather-Delayed Finale With Washington

PHOENIX – Sun Devil Baseball dropped a weather-delayed series finale with Washington, 6-1, on Sunday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Three scoreless frames preceded a two-hour, 25-minute weather delay, and the Huskies (16-11, 7-5) used a three-run fifth inning to take a lead they never relinquished. The Sun Devils (17-12, 4-8) scored once in the seventh, but UW responded with three runs in the ensuing frame to move ahead by five.

Freshman right-hander Chris Isbell, in his first career start, did not allow a run on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
