PHOENIX – The Sun Devil baseball team dropped its first game of the season, 18-4, against No. 20 Oklahoma State on Tuesday afternoon at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
Sophomore Zach Dixon started on the bump for the Devils (3-1), gliding past the Cowboys (2-2) in the first two innings. The Nevada-native ran into trouble in the bottom of the third inning, walking two batters and hitting one. Oklahoma State got on the board through a throwing error to take a 1-0 lead.
Dixon departed two outs into the fourth inning to be replaced by sophomore Garvin Alston Jr.
