PHOENIX – The Sun Devil baseball team was defeated by No. 7 Cal State Fullerton, 10-4, on Tuesday night at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
Starting right-hander Ryan Hingst gave the Devils a solid outing, allowing one hit and one run over 3.1 innings and recorded two strikeouts in the outing. Outfielder Andrew Shaps recorded his second consecutive multi-hit game while freshman Lyle Lin remained consistent, logging his ninth multi-hit game of the season. The Devils finished with an impressive 11 hits in the contest against a quality opponent but were just unable to find the big knock when they needed it.
