Arizona State defensive line coach Jamar Cain praised the athleticism of his sophomore nose tackle D.J. Davidson. In fact, he says the player can do a backflip. Maybe that isn't a big deal for a fleet, agile wide receiver or defensive back but for a 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman, it is an impressive feat.
"It's kind of like Bigfoot," Cain teases. "You've heard about it but you've never seen it."
While Cain says he'd love to see that acrobatic move from his big man, it's probably best to wait on that. Davidson, a product of Mesa's Desert Ridge High School, is coming off a broken ankle sustained in last year's 38-35 win over USC at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
